Obadiah Adolphus Phillips, Ma Eulalie Cocly & Mother Hardnett Soup Kitchen and Diner

Every last Tuesday of the month, we cook and serve soup to shut-ins — our homebound neighbors who can’t always get out. Hot soup, made with love, delivered with care.
In Whose Honor We Serve
This soup kitchen honors three remarkable people:
Obadiah Adolphus Phillips (Mass Obi) — whose land this is, and whose dying wish was “Don’t let the old house rot down.” We obey.
Ma Eulalie Cocly — beloved mother and grandmother, remembered with love.

Mother Hardnett — our spiritual mother, honored for her lifelong ministry.

We also serve in loving memory of Uncle Chaplin and all those who have gone before us.
When and Where
Held monthly on the last Tuesday at Obey Phillips Oasis. The soup kitchen started on August 6, 2026 — Jamaica’s Independence Day — and we’ve been serving ever since.
Because to obey is to serve.
