Eulalie Cocly Luke is one of the three honorees of the FWC Jamaica soup kitchen, named in her memory — and today, in the 30th anniversary season of Bless To The Max, we honor her in our own way.

Born in Saint Martin, she lived her life in Saint Thomas, US Virgin Islands, where she ran the Marriott’s laundry department for many years. Retired, she brought that skill to our care home in Georgia: for 15 years she helped hold the home down — the laundry always fresh and well kept, good meals on the table — and more than any task, she brought LIFE to the home.

She made her home in Georgia, where she passed in our care. She lived her last chapter in her own private room at Bless To The Max, and left this world in our care — home to the end. COVID took her funeral, and she never returned to her homeland. But her name is honored here in Jamaica, where our soup kitchen feeds shut-ins in her memory.

Thank you, Ma. Your name stays on the books, and your life stays in these walls.
